About AI Resume Builder

Most resumes are rejected before a person reads them. An applicant tracking system parses the file, matches it against the posting, and ranks it — and a layout that looks striking in a design tool frequently parses into nonsense, because multi-column tables and text inside graphics do not survive extraction.

This builder produces resumes that parse cleanly: single-column, real text, standard section headings, and a vector PDF rather than an image. The AI helps you sharpen what you wrote and tells you which keywords a specific posting wants. It will not invent experience you do not have.

What makes a resume ATS-friendly?

One column, so the parser reads in the order you intended. Standard headings — Experience, Education, Skills — because parsers look for those exact words rather than clever alternatives. Real text throughout, since anything rendered as an image is invisible to extraction.

Beyond that: dates in a consistent format, no critical information in headers or footers, no tables holding your work history, and a file the system can actually open. A PDF exported with selectable text is safe; a PDF that is a picture of a resume is not.

The templates here are all built to those constraints, which is why they look restrained. A resume is a document that has to survive being read by software before it gets to be read by a person.

How the AI is constrained

The rewriter takes a bullet you wrote and returns a better-written version of the same claim. It cannot add a metric, a technology or a responsibility that was not in your input, because a resume that overstates your experience fails at the interview and wastes everyone's time.

The tailoring step is checked before you see it. If the model produces a summary claiming skills that it has simultaneously listed as missing from your resume, that summary is withheld rather than shown — a fabricated claim you did not notice is worse than no suggestion at all.

Every AI edit is undoable. If a rewrite loses something that mattered, one click puts your version back.

Tailoring a resume to a specific job

Sending the same resume to forty postings is the single most common reason good candidates get screened out. Ranking systems compare your document against the posting, and a resume written for a different role scores badly against both.

Paste the actual posting and the tool extracts what it emphasises, then shows which of those terms your resume never uses. Add the ones that are genuinely true of you — that is the entire technique, and it works because most applicants do not do it.

Frequently asked questions

Is my resume stored on your servers?

Your resume is saved only in your own browser's local storage. The one exception is an AI action: when you ask AI to write or rewrite something, just that text is sent to the AI provider to generate the response, and it is not stored afterwards.

Will the AI invent things about me?

It is instructed not to. It rewrites and sharpens what you have already written and will not add employers, dates, metrics or credentials you did not provide. Always read the output before using it.

How do I export it as a PDF?

Use the Print button and choose 'Save as PDF' in your browser's print dialog. The layout is built for printing — only the resume itself appears on the page.

Is it really free?

Yes, with a fair-use cap on AI requests per hour because those calls cost money to run. Building, editing and printing your resume is unlimited.
